Partners

LITE is creating partnerships with other entities on campus in order to create an integrated process for supporting the creation of startups from idea to launch. Below is the list of current partners.

Office of Technology Transfer

The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT), in partnership with the George Mason Research Foundation, is responsible for the commercialization of inventions by George Mason faculty. Ownership of faculty inventions is established on the basis of University Policies, state law, and employment contracts. OTT staff can advise about the necessity of filing an Invention Disclosure. For more information about technology commercialization at Mason, please review the Researchers’ Guide to Technology Commercialization created by OTT.

Center for Social Entrepreneurship

The Mason Center for Social Entrepreneurship offers education programs, events, and other opportunities in the field of Social Entrepreneurship to faculty, students, and members of the community. In particular, the Center provides:

  • Counseling services for aspirant entrepreneurs.
  • Educational programs like speaker series, networking events, and summer programs.
  • Opportunities to get involved with others to start a business.

The Center aims at assessing the social impact of business initiatives and offers recommendations on how to optimize the social effect.
